Interesting thread..

Quote:
Now here is an interesting thing I would like to point out (wish I thought to save the link) If your tgt is a woman it should be noted that as she reaches ovulation in her cycle her sensitivity and reactivity to mones increases. This is a known tested biological fact. So it is something to be aware of. So keep it in mind when using mones .
This is well known and documented by most of the long time testers. Women will be aroused by sexual mones more during ovulation. However the sexual cues that these specific mones trigger wont always make a women react to that arousal. Men and women approach sex differently. Men are instinctual and women emotional. There are different "classes" of pheromones and its only the sexual ones that are more potent during ovulation.

Quote:
What you produce can and is affected by age, diet, stress level, mood, and I'm sure thats just the tip of the iceberg. But don't forget that reactivity is also dependent on your targets mood, age, etc.
Race, gender, age. health status and personality are the biggest factors in your natural production of mones . Daily diet can influence but not much.

Quote:
I am curious if people have considered that as your body knows what mones you are using and in many cases is well able to produce these chemicals itself. Does anyone care to weigh in on whether or not your body may start naturally producing the simulated signature you use if in environments where you would normally have them but arent using them at the time.
Its been discussed but pretty much disproved. Women frequently use the androgens and have been for years and none have tested positive for increased androgens in their systems. Same with the men using the estrogen based mones . Your body would have to produce the correct hormones to release the correct pheromones.

Quote:
Alternatively has it been considered that the use of mones suplimentarily might long term actually reduce the bodies natural production because it's used to getting sprayed to get the desired signature?
Again I would have to say no. Pheromones are by products of your hormones. Your natural hormone levels do not change because the pheromones do not enter the blood stream. I suppose if you sat in a tub filled with mones and soaked they could but with normal topical use they don't. They do enter the brain but your brain has a blood barrier that prevents them from entering the blood stream while still triggering a neurological response.

Quote:
They may have a cold. This is especially good to keep in mind during the cold and flu season.

Yes this would have an affect as well as smoking. Anything that inflamed the airways will stop those little molecules from getting to there target.

Quote:
Given the location of the VNO (inside the nose) it can and does get clogged and covered even when your breathing feels clear.
Its the inflammation of the olfactory system not the covering of the VNO. The VNO is not functional in humans. This has been known for quite sometime. There are more direct pathways to our brains in the olfactory system.

Oh and bequeath means to pass on to another. You don't have to die to use the word LOL

This mood elevation might be manifest in preferences that are manifest in the sexual behavior of women. The putative human pheromone, androstadienone, has also been shown to elicit hormonal and mood changes (Grosser, Monti-Bloch, Jennings-White, & Berliner, 2000; Jacob & McClintock, 2000).

Yes and if you read the actual studies you will see that the increase in hormones is due to pheromonal stimuli but it doesn't remain after the stimuli is gone. The hormone levels return to base line. This is what is meant when they say "chemistry" between a male and a female. So returning to the original question.......... can pheromones change your natural signature after you discontinue use ? No they cant.

They work by causing certain neurotransmitters to fire which can cause certain hormones to spike in response but they return to baseline.

If they caused significant and lasting change they would be classified as drugs.

With all due respect, i think the biology has to be acknowledged or all the marketing research in the world means nothing considering the white elephant in this room is the placebo response.

That one issue is enough to prove that blind studies as well as biochemical science has to be done if we ever want to standardize this science.

I believe in the science and I want it to legit and peer reviewed.

This is how real knowledge growth happens.

I really wonder if this post is going to disappear like others of mine have.

Believe me, its not going unnoticed by other actors on the stage. Actors who have no ill will against AD are starting to question some of the actions here.

Sad really because I actually love some of the products here and I have a good reason to think that AD is sitting on some gold that will come out sooner or later.

I'm not in it either way. But I feel really slimy knowing some of my comments both positive and negative have disappeared.

I find negative reviews on sites to be much more useful that positive ones and negative ones are the first I search for and read. Not that I believe everything negative I read......

By culture, I mean people throwing their weight around as muckety mucks, telling people what P96 or P83 can or can't do, as if they are authors of a pheromone textbook. In this thread, on this night, I will stand my ground. Neverending hype and sensationalism. Some dude makes a thread about fallout three years ago, is never heard from again, and everybody drinks it like Grape Aid laced with Mallinckrodt cyanide in Jonestown. No objectivity, no facts, just celebrity endorsements. And God help you if you dare speak against those celebrities. I've read all the posts on P96 going back two weeks. Not impressed. All it takes is one guy with 2000 rep points and the hype machine is on warp spead, just like P83 two years ago.
I wasn't pointing fingers at you mones .....just pointing out that it did happen...
