I've been curious as to how unscented phero colognes work? I've read many times that typically you can put your own cologne or perfume over them, but I'm just wondering if they work without applying any kind of additional scent--be it cologne, perfume, scented lotion (would that work btw? lotions??), etc.
Do they ONLY "work" when they can be carried by a scent? Or do they just work more efficiently?
Would they work just as well if you were to apply an additional scented phero spray to mix on top of it?
I'm just wondering if all they are is really just unscented phero colognes or do they require an additional "step" to be used efficiently or at all?

Re: Unscented Sprays?
IME they work to an extent but not nearly as well as scented - or those low/no scent diffusion packages.
Without diffusion-promoting components, pheros depend entirely on body and environmental heat to diffuse well but even then, I've found overall diffusion range is far less, so unscented is best kept for close-up applications - or more commonly, unscented are generally bought by the more serious hobbyist who will be mixing their own scent/diffusion package as well.
Then there is the matter that many pheros have a scent all their own, which some people can find unpleasant to that as they break down, the scent worsens over time.
All of these are offset by using a cover scent and with careful application, a cover scent can help project pheros off your skin better but your choice of scent is critical as some - generally at the cheaper end of the scale, can have antibacterial properties that also wreck pheros. Similarly some essential oils can do-in your pheros but others make superb diffusion promoters.
There are various strategies for managing phero diffusion - some are discussed here but if you want the easy version, get stealth and apply a cover scent close-by.

Re: Unscented Sprays?
I have to point out though, that although we can see "unscented" in some part of the store and this boards, we really mean "unfragranced". Pheromones have their natural scent and we can't pull it off them. That's the musky smell some picks up upon application. Others find the scent piss-like.
There are two kinds of "unfragranced" molecules now available for sale. The ones that are stripped of fragranced diffuser such as Neroli and the likes, and the ones that are using Stealth diffusion technology, a fragranceless type of diffuser.
I agree on getting the Stealth. Stealth itself is a diffuser. And if you wanted an "announced" entrance, then cover it with your favorite perfume.

Re: Unscented Sprays?
I actually was a little skeptical when the new Stealth/Nude stuff cam out as there is no scent at all. I tested the A oil in Nude(which is designed for women) and it worked really well. It took a little more time compared to the spray but once it kicked in it hit hard.
I also tested P121 and that is the one that really made me a believer in the stealth version.
If I were just starting out I would probably go with the Standard Neroli scent in most of the pheromones as it is great solo so you can test out the pheromones themselves to start with and Neroli can easily be covered up with a decent cologne. The key to this is be careful as some colognes do have anti-bacterial ingredients that can interfere with how effective the pheromone are so you may just want to research the ingredients in your cologne.
I have found that Ammo is kind of the tough one because of 2 pf the pheromones in it have a natural scent to them and it can be detected by some women and this might be a big reason why it has 10% scent strength compared to the others which are 6%.
To start out I would try the standard Neroli . I have found now that when making mixes that the scent can be a problem so for me the stealth is a much better choice as I can spray as much as I want and don`t have to worry about being overbearing scent wise.
