Default Body fat and androstenol

Higher body fat seems to correlate with higher natural androstenol .

People tend to be at ease and sometimes very candid around 'larger' people, which is exactly what you'd expect from androstenols. When I had a weight problem, people were much friendlier with me. I was everyone's "best friend", even though there was little sexual interest. People would tell me everything, some telling me secrets they told no one else.

I don't think it was merely because I was less intimidating to the weight. When I had the issue, I could've sat on them and crushed them! Think about that.

This connects direftly to the fact that adipose tissue (fat cells) increase serum levels of estrogen. No doubt there's a synthesis route from estrogen to androstenol in the body.

Now that I'm producing less natural androstenol and more natural -none, supplement with exogenous (spray on or drop on) androstenol is useful for me. It takes some of the aggressive edge of androstenone off.

Don't larger people also tend to have better skin? I brought this up in another thread, regarding skin and pheromones.

Healthier skin would seem to produce more of the nols, while the opposite might hold true none.

I guess it's just all related to hormones, as you were saying. If estrogen increases, does testosterone have to decrease?

Some bodybuilders have awfully nice skin... many are as crazy about health as they are about muscle. But a big huge comical bodybuilder with nice skin is still pretty intimidating to me. Not as much in pictures, but up close where I'm in smelling range.

I'm not the master of early anabolic pathways here (I'm focus on the opposite end of the hormonal cycle almost exclusively) but think when Esteogen increases, Testosterone always decreases in a predictable manner.

If you have a moment, you could check out something like Mike's bulknutrition.com forums for a more definitive answer. You could also use forums like that to figure out how to alter your own Testosterone to Estrogen ratio, so you could see first hand how it changes your pheromonal signature.

I assumed testesterone decreased when estrogen increased, just didn't want to make an incorrect statement out loud.

So I wonder if Santa Claus is hefty for a reason.

I think it must, I just don't know the pathways.

Not like you need to know them, mind you. Much of the trailblazing in this area is done "in the field" by bodybuilders and certain other sports folks who use themselves as guinea pigs. Studies mostly confirm what those in the field field have discovered.

You can learn a lot about that kind of thing in bodybuilder forums. I think Avant labs has a good one (http://forum.avantlabs.com/).

Just don't talk to these guys about pheromones. The last thing we need is for 'pheromone abuse' to spread among young athletes. Don't want to get these things banned, which is what will happen if they become associated with professionals sports. I'm surprised Gatorade hasn't been targeted yet.

Yes, Santa Claus is jolly. Horror movies aside, I think he's pretty friendly, too, right?

I get a friendly feel, almost feminine "social feel" from most overweight men. Unless they're extremely overweight, and don't wash regularly.

Agreed, this is something the pheromone community needs to be aware of.

I think it's where pheromones head first that matter.

Sports application would probably be fine someday.. after pheromones have taken hold in other areas of life first. I'd keep sports apps under one's hat for awhile.

Thankfully, the only sports app I know of failed, and it had ENORMOUS opportunities for success. I saw an ad for a pheromone product FOR the bodybuilding community from a very famous copywriter. He said it generated lots of interest, but very few sales... and that's a in a market that typically gets one of out 5 people buying from an ad. Easy market for most products, impossible market for pheromones.

Good.

Yes, fat cells make an encime, called aromatase (I think it is its name), that transforms testosterone to estrogens. More fat -> more aromatase -> less testosterone + more estrogens. You can read an article about this in "The Life Extension Foundation" site, www.lef.org (sorry, I don´t remember the month, but it was in 2005, I think).

obviously: less testosterone -> less agresive - > more friendly

Thanks for adding that reference.

LEF has some good reference material in clear language, even if their own R&D has virtually ground to a halt. (AOR has the best multi on the market now)

I've also seen papers that play devil's advocate. They supposedly "debunk" the "aggression/testosterone" "myth". I'm not so sure that's a myth, but I do appreciate the attempts at debunking... there are interesting twists to learn along the way.

I don't know if it's so much less testosterone --> less aggressive --> more friendly, as much as it appears to be more estrogen --> more ____ --> friendlier... or more specifically, more "approachable"

Women, after all, are approached, and men typically do the approaching.

Our bodies are designed in like fashion - the male penis protrudes (it advertises) and penetrates the female genitalia, which is internal and hidden from view. It receives. Our very psychology mimics our physiology.

"Men are penises, women are vaginas"

That's the book John Grey (of "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" fame) wishes he wrote, but he's too busy to busy pretending to listen to his wife.

It's a classic view, of course. Obviously current trends, like the "metrosexuals" (where men act like giant vaginas ) reverses this a little, but.. those are merely fads. They'll pass.

This all makes sense. Ever hear the phrase, "fat and happy?"

And don't worry about this "metrosexual" thing. The macho dudes around here get the attention, and recently the media has been reporting that "Macho" is back in style.
