And things can change with age. The chart and info below show how personality types can be in the same group of 4, but different Dominant, Secondary, Tertiary and Inferior Functions. Notice that the J/P axis does not play into the order of these. Also notice that the 1st & 4th, 2nd & 3rd are opposites. Showing how people grow to learn to fill in their talents that they don't develope early on. The 4th or Inferior Function, will manifest itself later in life, often biting you in the but, because you learn to do it, but you don't prefer it, you sabotage yourself this way subconciously.

So a T type may learn to use F type skills between ages 20-35, or may get beat up by them if they are Inferior. So there may be 2 types of the N-S, F-T axis. because the one you have as your Dominant is probably more important than your Secondary, because your secondary is complemented by it's opposite in the the 20's-30's. The Dominant 1st, it plays the guitar solo, and never learns to get along with it's opposite, until it's too late. Also Note the differing Introvert/Extrovert notation. Those who have an Extrovert personality type will have their Dominant Function be Extroverted, but their 2nd/3rd Functions will be the opposite, Introverted. The same scenario with Introverts, their 2nd/3rd Functios will be Extroverted, depicted by the "e" or "i" in the chart below. This illuminates that extroverts have introverted parts/processes going on as well as extroverted, and it varies based on Type.

Age 0-2 years, nothing conclusive can be said about the child's personality.

Age 2-6 years, some children can be identified on I/E and P/J, giving 4 different personlity types: EP, EJ, IP, IJ.

Age 6-12 years, it is also possible to identify one more parameter, giving 8 personality types. This provides the dominant preference.

At age 20-35, most people have started to use a tertiary function, improving their skills.

At age 35-50, a fourth function (inferior preference) is starting to be used more frequently. This arrival of a fourth function seems to be closely related to the phenomenon named Midlife Crisis.

I think you are right. My wife is Te dominant, and responds well to NONE.

As for your GF, if she is T as her 2nd, then her 3rd will be F, so she will gain more F type stuff as she gets older. And vice versa if F is her 2nd, T will be her 3rd.

But if T is her dominant, F will be long and slow in appearing. F would be her 4th.

INxJ here. I find social pheros give me best hits, BUT wearing TUTH in situations that warrant sexual behaviour I usually find the girl is ON TOP OF ME.

I'm primarily INFJ, but so close to INTJ as to be nearly ambiguous.

I love IH . I can be rather quiet and aloof at times, and people have mistaken that for unfriendliness, brooding, or judgementalism. This is compounded by the fact that sometimes i can be very chatty, sociable, and goofy. When people see those two sides of me, i think they interpret my outgoing side as "normal", and my reserved side as "something wrong". With IH , I don't run into that problem. People tend to perceive my "moods" as mellow or contemplative instead, which is more accurate. And sometimes I just need a break from people while they are still around.

IH also helps my personality in another way. I pretty much have no use for shallow, surfacey friendships. I'll tolerate shallowness in the introductory period, but I only have so much patience before we either make a connection or I let it go. I find that IH makes the other person seek out the connection more readily, if they are inclined toward substance.

Thanks for these insights!

I recognize a lot of what you're saying in that first paragraph. I'm INTJ too, think we have similar personalities. Depending on how I answer a couple of questions in the test I'm either INTJ or ENTJ. I'm only slightly introverted and can be very extroverted as well. I'm the typical ambivert I think.

When going out I'm usually very outgoing and high energy (I push myself towards this mindset, we live in a world that rewards the extroverts). But sometimes I like to be calm and contemplative. This confuses people around me too, they also think 'something is wrong' and confuse it with me being unfriendly/hostile.

Think I'm gonna order more IH

Ancient thread that I'm bringing back, but I'm an INTJ as well, leaning towards INTP.
5w6/4 Enneagram (balanced wings).

My guess would be that INTJ's are more common here because INTJ's in general tend to be 'mad scientists' of a sort (the nicknames for INTJ seem to most commonly be 'mad scientist', 'The Puppetmaster', and 'Shadow Manipulator'). It would make sense that we'd be interested in using pheromones if for nothing else, a sort of research experiment.

I am an INFJ. Knowing that has actually helped me figure out a lot of things about myself. And helps me know which pheromones to use to steer my reserved nature into more open territory.

Interesting stuff...

Took this test in highschool in a psychology course and I was ENTP. Took it again a few years back and I was INTP... I agree with that because I do feel I have become more reclusive since taking the first test.

Decided to take it again just now and it says I am an INFP. Is it common to get various results?

BUMP.

INFP-T here. Last time I took an MBTI test that T appeared after my result. It stands for Turbulent. I do not yet really know what is means or what handle it can give me.

I find as an INFP guy that A314 is necessary in virtually all situations. But mostly in professional settings (sales meetings, angry clients, office politics).
