Okay, I am still waiting to get my first order of pheros, but in the meantime I thought I would ask you guys about this girl I have met.

She is a friend of a good friend of mine, and I have partied/clubbed with her many times. The funny thing about this girl is that every time I hang out with her she is ALWAYS stating that I have NO chance of getting with her, even though I am making no moves and showing no interest in a relationship with her. So after the first couple of times hanging out with her and her telling me that, I decided to just call her my lesbian friend, since she is always saying I don't have a chance.

She always finds is amusing, but every time I call her that she brings up again that I have no chance. The only time I have ever intentionally hit on her was the first time I saw her about 6 months ago. I'm fine being friends with her, she isn't someone I'd go after now.

Anyway, I was just going to ask any of you what you thought she was doing. Sometimes I wonder if she just wants me to ask her out because she is so crazy about telling me I have no chance. What do you guys think is going through her head?

Begging you to be a challenge and to already try and go after her. It's very clear, from your description of the situation, she is interested in you. It's the old playground trick of being mean and saying things that are out of context to the object of our affections.

It's obvious that you are very interested in her as well, even though you purport that: Otherwise why even bother bringing it up if after all this time, it hasn't changed your relationship, except now that the pheromones are on the way.

Face it man, you two are into each other and you're hoping there is chemistry, and I don't just mean in the little blue bottle. Sparks are shooting out your ears. Go for it already and kiss the girl

I may have to do that next time she is acting that way, it is just weird to me because I have never had a girl act that way in front of me before. I'll have to pay a little more attention next time to see exactly how she acts. Thanks for the input guys.

Like Steve (O) said - just away of saying pay attention to me and try hard - and you will probably be rewarded.

It is also a self-defense mechanism in case you do not try or if you do and it does not work out. Either way she would be right.

Hi stryker. Hope I'm not too late to the party. You didn't tell us what happened here. How did she react when you hit on her 6 months ago? It might make a difference in how we perceive the present situation. Spill...lol.
I agree with the others. No you're not and yes she is.

You've already partied with her numerous times so she's obviously making herself available and offering you a challenge...she's actually chasing you in a way, step up. The next time she says you have no chance with her, maybe look at her intently and say, "I think you really want me to kiss you". Then do it and make it good. Who knows, she might kiss you back! If she's serious and you strike out...tell her you were just trying to push her buttons and laugh it off as a joke. You can both save face that way and no harm done. If you're not joshin' yourself and are really interested in her...go for it. Make your move. She seems to like this little game, she keeps throwing digs at you, have some fun and dig her back. Jeez, if you had a ponytail she'd be pulling it and dipping it in the ink well! I think she likes you.

I used to get my ass kicked by girls in elementary school all the time: brownies, punches name calling, the works. One of them actually knocked me down and kissed me! Needless to say I was not impressed when I was 10 and would avoid such silly game playing later.

But, yeah, I agree it sounds like she likes you and is doing an old elementary school playground ploy (must be really young to resort to that!). It's also a power play and she obviously enjoys having the upper hand.

Thanks for chiming in guys. I don't really exactly remember what I did as far as getting her attention the first time we met, I think we danced a little or something. oh yeah, as far as dancing, we usually go as a group of people, 5-10, most of us just all dance with everyone. Not a lot of grinding going on usually unless we are all a little more drunk than usual. One thing she also does is dance with guys in front of me, then dances closer and closer to me, and once we are dancing together she turns around and gives me some remark about "oh it's you" or something along the lines of "I can't or shouldn't" etc. and backs off. Even when it is plain I didn't make any move to dance with her.

One other thing, you guys got me noticing this. I've hung with her 2 times when she was pretty drunk, and I think she kinda let her guard down. The first time she danced with me and then was joking that my phone in my pocket was my "male package". Comes off a bit slutty but wasn't, just a weird context.

The second was saturday just before I started this topic. When I was leaving the bar and saying my good byes, she kept talking to me about how she keeps telling my buddy(the guy that I know & is my connection to this group of people) that she wanted to hang out with me. Then SHE asked me for my number but didn't have her phone on her. I told her to get it from my buddy (probably wrong move there, but I was going for more a cocky jirk right then, and was blasted tired so I didn't much care if she got it or not).

Anyway, next time I see her I'll start paying more attention to what her non-verbals are and see if I can get some one-on-one time with her.
