I might be dead meat ...

Myself: Mid-40s, married 20+ years, athletic

Products: 3 Sprays MX 292 to chest and neck
1 Spray IS 4X to forearms
1 Spray IH 4X to back of neck

Background: I do martial arts. Yesterday as I am sparring with my guys I catch a knee in the lips. Not bad, and I have him pinned down, but I am bleeding so we have to stop.

(Note 1: If you do martial arts always wear a mouthpiece. I do. If you do not wear a mouthpiece, in a couple years you will be able to just take out your bridge or dentures and not worry about the mouthpiece. Glad I was wearing mine.)

(Note 2: When you put someone down on their back and they defend with their legs, a quick bypass is to grab one ankle, get the other leg when they try to kick free, then wrap up -bear hug- both legs at or just above the knees. Keep your head/face tucked down away from them, swing your legs past their feet, roll up on them into side mount. Just be careful as you can get a knee in the face. I caught the knee but was still able to roll up on him and put him in side mount. I just ended up dripping blood all over him. Ooooppps.)

Tonight Mrs. BH and I go to a get-together over at a friend's house. Nothing real special, just seversal friends (about 5 couples) getting together, grilling out, a few beers or wine, etc.. I am wearing heavy socials but also MX292 for when Mrs. BH and I go home. Go figure ...

I am talking with the wife of a friend. Wonderful person, attractive woman. Mrs. BH is outside on the deck. Female friend seems pretty locked in on me during the conversation. Conversation always seems easy with her as we share a lot of views in common. We are talking for quite a while about different things. Finally she asks about my lip. I tell her what happened. She comments it looks a little painful. I admit it does still sting a bit.

She leans forward, takes my face in one hand, and gently kisses the gashed part of my lip, saying something about getting better soon and not hurting.



I am not exactly sure what she said as I am IN SHOCK. My face must show it as she suddenly realizes what she has done, and says something like "I don't know why I did that ...something something something."

I give a little laugh and say something along the lines of "Thanks, I am sure it will be better now, something something something."

Now mind you the kiss was gentle and quick. Almost like a mom kissing a minor booboo before sending a child back out to play.

But what I am really thinking is "Where is Mrs. BH and did she see that? Did this friend's husband see that? Did anyone else see that? What is my life expectancy at this point?"

A couple people did see it. Female friend jokes she was kissing my booboo better. I get a couple questioning looks but I give a look of surprise in return.

I do not think Mrs. BH saw it. Not sure if anyone mentioned it to her. Mrs. BH is straightening up a little before we go to bed, but making sounds like my presence is requested in the boudiour. I suspect I will find out shortly ...
