I know some of you are into meditation so I am wondering if anyone here is also into mind machines (sound/light). I was a participant in the Princeton University research project some years ago. I have used them ever since.

Wondering what type of pheromones you might use with them to garner what results.

My current pheromone collection includes:

Instant Openness

Spaceland
TAH (20 mcg)
TAL (5 mcg)
TAF (15 mcg)

Plus I have a couple others I am not allowed to discuss as per Jasmin.

Has anyone used any of these combined with a mind machine?

Spaceland has been used for meditation by some. Jasmin mentioned it in a phone conversation backin the day, and on the forum.

I know they made some superstrong beta-Androstenol for someone to meditate with and MHarris mentioned that at strong doses it has altered states effects

I remember that too! I had found some old posts on it, but not sure I'd be willing to pay what I suspect it would cost. I am hoping I could use what I have. I do plan on experimenting, but that can lead to less than desirable affects especially using mind machines.

I guess I'll have to try it with standard meditation first and see what happens.

EST and/or TAH def seem to increase inter-hemisphere communications which works will with the appropriate settings on the machine.

Specifically you can notice this by listening to a binaural tape and applying EST mid-listen.

I think massage, mind machines, pheromones and hypnosis would go together quite well though I have yet to try.

Just had a chakra balancing session (begins with guided meditation). EST + TAH + betanol + Androstadienone (latter for practitioner) = intense.

I really tried meditation for many years and I never seem to have accomplished any altered state. A friend, a Princeton professor, was experimenting with sound/light back before anything was ever done on it. He knew I had tried and hooked me up to some machines that measure Theta, Alpha, Beta patterns and after 1 hour meditation my brain activity was very close to normal.

Then I tried the machine: At that time it was a BIG machine with a separate console room. Within mere minutes I was induced in a deep trance and used them ever since.

I have to order some more stuff it looks like, and here I though i had some pretty good supplies.

Have you tried guided meditation? I guess it is possible a CD might turn out to be almost as good - I don't know how important the presence and energy of the practitioner might turn out to be. Also, involving the body in some way - whether massage or rocking/whirling like the sufis do.

Also, I wonder once certain states become habitually accessessed whether one will be more easily able to reach them without any assistance.

Do you reach altered states from listening to music eg deep house/trance or certain kinds of percussion? I do, quite easily, but haven't tried to do anything with such states. Lloyd Glauberman - who I think was an amateur drummer - uses that quite effectively in some of his hypnosis CDs, both to help enter the trance and as a motif when talking about patterns in one's life.
(Oh and I second tacitus in suggesting you check his work out when time).
