Here's a link to explain it all: Cart Mod for better refilling - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat When you stop getting vapor, but your battery is still good and the atomizer doesn't seem clogged up, pull the wadding out of the cart with a pair of tweezers. If it's still wet, the above trick will add a couple or 3 more "cigarette's worth" to your cart life. -D4

so i been using my KR808D-1 for about a week now here is what i like: very easy to use great throat hit long battery life, one battery lasts me all day lots of vapor now here is where the selling point comes is with the cartridge, the cartridge has the atomizer built in and is suppose to last about 250 puffs, and you do not have to mess with refilling and maintenance of cleaning of the atmoizer. they are called cartomizers and come in pack of 5 and can find them for anywhere for $6 - 12 depending where you get them and if on sale BUT here is the big BUT, I found them to be very inconsistent, i found some cartridges to last an extremely long time, and others to last 20 puffs...I had a pack of 5 cartomizers and 2 of them only lasted 20 puffs, my thrid ones seems to be going very srtong at least 60 puffs now reading on the e-cig boards this is a known problem and one downside You can supposedly refill these cartomizers but they never taste the same So to sum up this would be the perfect e-cig if the cartomizers would really last like they are suppose to... In the meantime I went back to smoking a few real cigarettes...i am just getting too frustrated...dealing with all this...just not worth it anymore...and spending way too much money finding the perfect one..I think I spent over $100 between the 510 and KR808D-1 and all the juices and cartomizers and it still does not feel like a real cigarette no matter what. I am just going to make sure i only smoke a few a day like when i am drinking...and that is it..

Do you guys know anything about "manual" batteries? I got an email from an e-cig company saying they were selling them now, but there wasn't much info on it. This was for a dse-901 model (see this is why I love this model, can mix-n-match with whatever)

a manual battery is a battery that has a button on it..that when you inhale it will not cut you off and can inhale until you stop holding the button so you can get a really nice throat hit usually automatic battery has a 5-8 second automatic cutoff time where you have to stop inhaling

Do they need to get charged, like the regular batteries? Thats probably a dumb question, now that I think about it. Do you have one of those?

the Janty KISS-Boxes have manual buttons, and apparently phenomenal throat hits, amounts of smoke, ease of use, and reliability. it was one of my choices before i landed on the dse cause of your guys' insight.
