Just remember to calmly turn to the guy next to you and say "Tango?... I think something brushed against my leg", with a completely emotionless demeanor. Also, any time someone mentions EVP, stop, act like you're looking into the camera, and say "EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena. It's believed that audio recorders can pick up sounds that are inaudible to the investigators, but show up in digital recordings."

It's interesting to consider the repercussions of physical responses in "intangible" beings, among other things.

If they respond to sound or to the presence of others, perhaps there's some vestigial awareness of physical stimuli - or perhaps it can't even be described as "vestigial".

Hey, you know about these people, right?

I'm only mentioning PRS because you might find it interesting to crosspost some of this on their boards.

I think they have good intentions and are smarter than the average bears.

I'm still on the fence when it comes to ghosts, and it's interesting to consider "echoes" of the past from the viewpoint that the earth itself is not stationary in space-time - at least not in the way one might normally think of stationary! People forget that we are thousands of miles away from where we were, and that next year our planet is in an entirely different place... of course, we manage to stick to this planet, as do (for instance) many energetic waves that are unable to pass through the ionosphere... anyway ....

Their tv show is the only "paranormal" show I've ever seen genuinely weird things on that I could not easily explain. I didn't see the motive for elaborately performed lies, given that the people seemed genuinely terrorized and the PRS people genuinely seemed to want to help and simply get to the bottom of things - not freak people out.

Maybe genuinely weird things are real. It's silly that they would happen most at night when the imagination and when sleep paralysis are most active influences... but maybe there's another explanation that makes sense.

Oh drat this is going SO OT. D:
And I will say no more of it!

Yup, a great piece of fiction! Unfortunately, most real investigations are about as exciting as watching paint dry.
