I only used about 20mcg total though.

I think that the offensiveness would, as mobo said, be the actual fragrance used in the product. I work for a cosmetic company - It can actually be nauseating when your olfactory sense is completely overwhelmed with any fragrance.
Combined with the fact that you're working out - you are increasing your body heat and flashing off more of the fragrance.

Did you apply it right before going to the gym? Sometimes if you give a cologne ~30mins to an hour to properly flash off the top notes the smell will be less overwhelming to others.
I put it on an hour before the gym, but I agree that it was likely the smell. I have used only one spray sice and haven't gotten any reaction at all. I bought the lighter scented P74 and will give it a try, but I don't think pheromones work.

The environment you're using them in will change how successfully they work. If you're running on the treadmill with headphones in, you likely aren't getting into the close proximity required for these molecules to start affecting people.

I actually had one of my most obvious hits back in college in the back of the car. Pherlure was actually my first pheromone purchase - going out as a group one of the girls in the back of the car couldn't stop commenting on how good I smelled as she was practically climbing into my lap.

Give them time - as you start to familiarize yourself with what to look for - body language, etc. - you'll notice how they work.

Good luck with your continued testing. For science!

I have never seen any reports on P74 being aggressive in any way. Most of us find the opposite and it buffers any aggression in mixes.

If I had to guess it is the scent. I love Ammo / FF21 scent but it can be overbearing. I find this one and Himalayan/ FF20 to work very well as far as diffusion/sillage, but most people hate how strong it can be and I have found this can turn people off men and women of all ages.

I don`t know if it is the scent, but I would look there first.

I like Ammo / FF21 scent in the 6% as I can work with that but 20% is very strong and I have got negative reactions as well with 20%.
