I'm getting worried. I've ordered over AU$350 of "In Stock" products nearly four weeks ago. I'm not a rich man, for me that's a lot of money sitting there doing nothing. I'll give it a couple more weeks, and if the order still hasn't moved, I think I'll cancel and ask for my money back, and try again once the new store is open.

You just landed in my boat.I have an order pending from November, around 300 $.I posted here just like you and the post was hidden by moderators.If don't post i get no ansers to my emails.
Androtics please understand that I CAN'T WAIT YEARS FOR MY ORDER to arrive.
I don't want Androtics to look bad, i want my order or my money.
If i will want Androtics to look bad, i will speak with one of my friends, a web designer and briliant hacker.Let's just say that this man can do a lot of damage over the Internet.

The company did post updates in the store announcement & feedback section of the forums and are not closing their doors. From what they have mentioned they have a new location in Nevada for the lab, and the fulfillment formulator is also working so orders are now being fulfilled. They said they committed to make and ship all orders, even the custom orders despite their temporary short staffing as some of the staff couldnt come with them and the health of formulator. We all hope the formulators health gets better and our thoughts are with her....

Its just going to go slower then the 50-120 packages a day they used to do in the past by quite a lot, last mentioned in February was more around 10-15 packages a day. With a large backlog, every order certainly cannot be shipped all at the same time, but would come with extras for those that are affected by the delay, but this does slow down the total fulfillment time a bit.

My suggestions to offer help were to close the store temporarily to new orders and open the first new store once the backlog is at zero. They simply dont have the staff temporarily to handle the new orders on top of the backlog. Although this is done with the banner and notification, the minimum order should be increased to 9999 or cart taken offline, as a few people I see are still ordering which is just adding to the backlog a bit and time before they can reopen. Those gift cards dont expire and can be used once it opens, I dont think this is adding any issue.

I suggested also taking a by order # approach with earliest orders first as much as possible as to the fairest way to handle, and weekly/biweekly max update on where it stands such as the earliest order they still have unfulfilled so people can follow along... This will surely cut the tickets greatly. I have 7 orders outstanding but have no trouble with the wait whatsoever when I see that others before me are being taken care of. I would think most people will be patient when they see progress updates rather then a vague we're working on it, that its going in a specific order, and see others posting they are getting stuff who were earlier they would be more understanding and this can be done without all the drama. They have been just adding some to the priority but I think its fairest to go by first in, first out as pretty much everyone is in the same boat and wants their stuff now. It is the lack of updates or posts from customers receiving that is causing much of the current issues. Hopefully this also will allow those like Dee, and Emma if helping, to catch up on replies as there seems to be a backlog of them also.

You may also consider offering a proactive refund plus coupon to anyone who would rather wait until the new androtics.com store opens and have their money back instead of waiting, or the androticslabs.com custom shop later in the year. The customer should be given the choice if the delay is expected more then 4 weeks from date of order.

You are making good points here Datadragon.

Gift Certificates are handled manually by Dee. I don't understand the point of issuing GCs when the store has been closed to new orders for several days.

I am using some dire language here because I think it is called for. Were I around 8-9 years ago during the big schism over copulins I would have done the same.

Miscommunication like this has done damage that is difficult to repair. Some people walked away from A314 over Rev 31 and will not come back. And with 10 acceptable alternatives at half price, they just stayed away.

And right now we have a good economy. That may not last.

The decisions Androtics makes in coming weeks will determine if it survives in some form into next year. I am supportive but not as sanguine as you Data.

I do not understand this behavior at all. I don't understand why Dee is issuing new GCs when Androtics Direct is not accepting new orders and there is no new website to accept orders.

This type of bizarre action harms trust very badly and trust is everything in this business.

Below is a copy some of the email Brian sent to existing customers regarding the transition plans. You can input your email on Androtics.com and will get emailed right before its opening once they catch up on the backlog which is the main focus/issue right now... Support is via email at [email protected] at the moment as mentioned before.

As I touched upon on our previous email titled "Final 72 hours of Androtics Direct", Androtics Direct will be closing. Completely separate consumer and research websites will take it's place.

This is now officially the last 24 hours of Androtics Direct.

The only caveat is that it may take quite awhile to receive your order since we're running a minimal staff at the moment.

After the checkout system is shut down we'll keep working hard to get every last package out, but do keep in mind the greater effort and time required as Direct isn't and never was never a typical ecommerce operation.

Direct is and was an unusually human resource heavy operation.

That's as true today as it was more than a decade ago. The main difference being that the world has changed around us. Today's ecommerce sites work quite differently than the ones of old did. Today's workers have different expectations than they did a decade ago. The entire Direct operation is in need of a serious update to current realities.

The way Direct was designed, the bulk of formulas sold go through a tedious customization process. You barely notice this when we're running with a moderate order volume with a full staff, but it's very noticeable at a high order volume and/or with minimal staff.

We're still dedicated to serving our early adopters one last time, before transitioning to new projects. Once the last package is out, this marks the firm end of an era. The last chapter of Direct. The start of new chapters.

If blazing fast shipping and a simple, more Amazon-type experience is to your liking, then kindly sign up at Androtics.com. Our very first 100% consumer oriented website.

No fulfillment service will touch the old model, either.

People thought what we did was unique back in the 2000s. Now that the "Made in China" experience is now more entrenched than ever, being so involved in every step is often viewed as something absolutely alien.

I hate to quote the whole text in any reply, but this has opened more questions than answers. I'm not a nit-picker but I have backed a few Kickstarter projects that self-destructed because the owners did not communicate effectively with the backers, and this is essentially what we see here. Even if the news is bad, more people will stick with you than desert you. Better bad news than no news at all.

No news at all makes us think you're taking our money and stuffing it up your nose at a dive bar in Tijuana.

Some people learn from their mistakes. Smart people learn from mistakes made by other people.

Just two weeks ago (late February) I went onto the Androtics Direct website and there was one of those "on-line help live chat" so I clicked it and I asked "If an item is shown as being in stock is it in stock" and I was told by the avatar, presumably who's WAGE WAS BEING PAID BY THE COMPANY, that yes please place the order, it will be shipped soon, so under that advice I placed another AU$100+ order.

I hate to think negatively about people, I'm glass half full, people are basically decent etc. But I have to say, I wish I hadn't paid by PayPal.

After chatting to a few members I'm gonna give Androtics Direct the benefit of the doubt and hang in there for a bit longer. They're obviously struggling and I wouldn't like to make things more stressful for them. If we paid by credit card or Paypal our money is safe, so what do we have to lose by waiting some more?

I'd also like to wait a little longer. I am seriously praying that somehow my small simple 30ml order makes it here before my job interviews and before I have to move. I do really wish that I had seen the sites current issues before clicking "place order" only to jump in the last of what seems a very long line of backed up orders. Perhaps, if I could have been graced with a pop-up or message in my cart that stated the situation or the possibility of delay, I wouldn't be left with buyer's anxiety. I don't look for these things in Androtics Direct, from whom I've ordered from for 10 years. I'm curious though, has anyone had better luck with the RUSH DELIVERY $50 upgrade? Worth it at this point? Should I give up hope? If you're a moderator, for reference my order is #120883.
