Hi. I've been gone for a bit and now, almost don't recognize the place. Can someone help catch me up? I was a reporting user , I got your message, but all the links needed a passwor.d. I thought message said I didn't need a password. Obviously, I'm confused. Can you help, somewhat?

So with MXs or other products that you have embargo on, how can I report on it?

Since we've looked at the reporting users lists, there was a death, a few departures and staff members on leave within the company. This left us a vastly understaffed to mind the Reporting Users and Putative forum these past few months. You might have noticed I've been completely absent from the front line.

I'd like to take a little time to answer some of these questions and help get back on track.

Not many! Harris originally designed the Reporting Users program to reward people who were actively contributing feedback to the forum. An active contribution is loosely defined as a report within 6 months.

Yes. We'd like to see activity from any Reporting User . Replies count. In fact, some of the best mix inspiration comes from a reply to someone else's thread. If you ever get stuck when posting an original thread, find an older one and bump a reply! this helps build the community. We love it.

You can always start a journal. When people reply you get a new subscriber, and subscribers get a notification in their inbox any time you post something new. Its quite a great way to get your post seen on an ongoing basis, and a great way to track your usage over time to notice trends.

I'm currently reviewing all the putative forum password requests one by one. Any unethical merchant can buy fake reviews by the thousands from cheap freelancer marketplaces, and manipulate ratings, and therefore, sales. Amazon has recently filed suit against operators of sites selling fraudulent product reviews. It's a step in the right direction.

This is why requests are approved by hand. We aim to make sure you're a real person and the data quality high. It takes considerable time and monetary resources to produce these for the community, because human review is human. Meaning, it can't be automated.

It's embarrassing, really. Seven emails. Shouldn't be that way. I looked at our Zendesk stats for the last month. It was quite embarrassing. Took us 19.7 hours to respond to a simple ticket.

I mention these things because the first step to improving something is having awareness of your problem.

The second step is publicly admitting your problem, apologizing, then publicly admitting the steps you'll take to repair them.

In which case, thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry it took us so long to get back to you. I'll take care of your request if it hasn't been taken care of already. Additionally, in the next weeks I'll be working on optimizing our workflows and setting clear priorities amongst our team so none of these requests fall through the cracks.
